Assessment
OSEH has developed an electronic learning module to assist those who work in computer based environments. This module will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and takes you through a step by step process to adjust the work environment to fit you. There is a short, 10 question quiz following completion of this module, to assess your learning. Please complete this eLearning module and quiz before requesting services.

If you have applied the techniques offered to improve workstation situations and are still having difficulty, a personalized Workstation Assessment can be conducted by OSEH staff. Complete and submit the Ergonomics Services Request Form. Your request will be reviewed, processed and given to an OSEH Representative for scheduling.

What to expect from a Workstation Assessment:
A workstation assessment consists of a review of the current work tasks and equipment. It is necessary for the person requesting the assessment to be present to provide specific information during the assessment. Questions will be asked to gain an understanding of how the work tasks are currently being done, and suggestions made for improvements. The assessment will take approximately 30 minutes. There is no charge for these services.
A written report will be sent to the supervisor which includes observations during the assessment, as well as recommendations for improvements. Those improvements could be changes to the work process, postures used during the work tasks, or recommendations for purchase of ergonomic equipment. All ergonomic equipment purchases are the made by the individual department, not by OSEH.

Other Services
Often, departmental representatives know that ergonomic hazards exist, but are unable to quantify them or figure out what to do to reduce these hazards. A telephone consultation with the OSEH Ergonomics Representative can help identify what steps are recommended to reduce ergonomic hazards in the workplace.
