Fire Alarm Activation
When the Fire Alarm Activates in a University of Michigan Building:
Building Occupants:
- Immediately Exit the Building
- Gather at the designated assembly area. Do not re-enter the building until given the "all clear" by DPS, the Fire Department, or your Building Emergency Coordinator or Floor Marshal
Remember to:
- Close doors behind you while exiting
- Walk to the nearest exit (DO NOT USE ELEVATORS)
- Notify DPS or Fire Department personnel if you suspect someone is injured or trapped inside the building
